As you know Apricity Photography is run by both Kacey and me. There are small introductions on the About Us page and Instagram but I don’t think that serves enough justice to who we are and our friendship. So here’s a fun little blog about us, the blonde and brunette!
Kacey and I met our freshman year of college when she was roommates with my friends from high school. We spent lots of time getting to know one another and just growing our friendship. In our second year of school, we lived together and well, became best friends. Honestly, we were glued to each other’s hip, literally did everything together. We were also kind of lame and didn’t have very many friends but you know that was perfectly okay with us.
We always had flowers from Trader Joe’s, we would swing dance in the kitchen, and binged watched all of Gilmore Girls. We challenged one another in our relationship with God, always prioritizing worship nights, and doing bible studies. How kind of God to give us friendship and sisterhood all in one.
Kacey loves the sun, is sweet, and always finds the good in people.
Likes to go on adventures outside when she’s been inside too long.
Takes a whole day to drink one cup of coffee; which in my opinion is not coffee because it’s too sweet.
Her favorite color is baby blue, like the sky on a spring day.
She likes going to baseball games, not to watch but for the environment.
Her bible is filled with index cards because she doesn’t want to write her notes on the page.
When she’s cold she says “My bones are chilled”.
She doesn’t know the artist of her favorite songs.
Her top love language is physical touch; always offering a hug to someone when they’re sad.
Kacey loves like Jesus and needless to say, she’s great.
I’m more sassy, I love the fall and spring.
I'm a mountain girl, not a beach girl.
I only like iced coffee but I never finish it because I have a low caffeine intolerance…it’s inconvenient.
Pastel yellow and hunter green are my favorite colors.
I have a candle and coffee mug obsession.
Buying flowers and looking at the sky are some of my favorite things to do.
My bible is color-coded and has notes from my people; the notes are placed in whatever their favorite book is.
I equally love music and movies.
Words of affirmation are my top love language; I love handwritten notes and always keep them.
And Easter is my favorite holiday.
We are opposite in a lot of ways but also very similar. She’s a leggings girly while I’m a jeans girly.
She waits to get gas until her gaslight comes on whereas I get gas with a quarter of a tank left. She needs to sleep with the sound of the fan and well I hate that sound.
BUT
We love raw cookie dough. We think Lane and Dave should’ve gotten married instead of her and Zack. We both think liking strawberry milkshakes is a red flag. We sing when we’re stressed out. And we love God.
I love us, we’re pretty great. I hope you love us too.
